The group is established in Harare with a founding focus on mining, construction, civil works, and engineering services. From day one, the principle was simple: deliver reliable, high-quality work and treat every client and site worker with the same standard of care.

Labour broking and supply services launch

With the construction arm growing its project book, the group formalises its workforce and supply-side capabilities — responding to a gap in Zimbabwe's market for a trustworthy local resource partner. Labour broking, managed service, and equipment hire capabilities are established to serve both group projects and external clients.

Hospitality services launch

Hospitality services launch

The group enters hospitality, bringing its standard of care to Zimbabwe's leisure and facility management sectors. The flagship houseboat Madamburo begins operations, offering premier cruises, boat weddings, and curated waterborne experiences — rounding out the group's service portfolio.

Islam joined Glenrise in October 2023, bringing over 24 years of extensive experience in executive leadership, human resources, and operational management. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held senior leadership positions, including General Manager and Vice President at a leading diamond mining company in Zimbabwe, where he successfully drove organisational performance and strategic growth.
